Apple Watch group competition for your whole crew
Apple’s built-in competition only works one-on-one. Competo puts everyone, three friends or thirty coworkers, on one weekly leaderboard scored by Activity rings.
Free · iPhone + Apple Watch required
- No group size limit
- New race every week, automatically
- Join with a code · no Activity Sharing

Can you compete with more than one person on Apple Watch?
Not in the Fitness app. Apple’s Activity competition is a seven-day, head-to-head match between exactly two people. You can start several 1v1 matches at once, but the scores never combine, so nobody can see who is winning across three, five or thirty people.
Competo fixes exactly that. It reads the same Move, Exercise, and Stand ring data from Apple Health, turns it into points, and shows the whole group on one weekly leaderboard.

Apple Watch group competition FAQ
Can you do a group competition on Apple Watch?
Not with Apple’s built-in feature. The Fitness app only supports one-on-one, seven-day competitions. To compete with three or more people on one leaderboard you need a third-party app such as Competo, which reads the same Activity ring data from Apple Health.
How many people can join a Competo group?
There is no group size limit. Invite a few friends or a whole office; everyone in the private group appears on the same weekly leaderboard.
How are points scored in a group competition?
Competo uses the same idea as Apple: Move, Exercise, and Stand ring progress earn up to 200 points each, capped at 600 points per day. Because scoring is percentage-based, a beginner with realistic goals can beat a marathoner who slacks off.
Do my friends need an Apple Watch too?
Yes. Everyone in the group needs an iPhone and an Apple Watch so their Activity rings can be scored.
Does it work with Activity Sharing?
Competo does not use Activity Sharing invites at all, so the “invite not working” and Sharing-tab problems do not apply. One person creates a private group and shares its code; everyone else pastes the code into Join group and they are in.
Is Competo free?
Competo is free to download and use for group competitions. Optional premium features are available as an in-app purchase.
